The event is held annually, encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential electric lights, for one hour, as a symbol of commitment to the planet.
Join us and millions of people around the world and switch off your lights on Saturday, 26 March 2022 from 8:30 – 9:30pm!
This is how we plan the event:
- You may switch off your non-essential lights from 8:30 to 9:30pm
- Keep a torch or flashlight at hand during the hour, in case you need it
- If necessary, use non-toxic, smoke-free and non-allergic candles
- Call your close friends to join the Earth Hour. Spread the word, spread the spirit!
